Rev. J. Krister Ulmanis, Intentional Interim Pastor

Pastor Ulmanis was born in Sweden and spent much of his early life growing up in Canada. He was ordained in 1991 into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and joined the Michigan Southeast Synod in 2015. He will be serving as Intentional Interim, beginning August 15th, to support Trinity’s pastoral transition after Pastor Lori Carey’s retirement.

Sarah Altenburg, Minister of Music and Youth and Family

Sarah joined Trinity in August of 2017. Her love for church music started at age seven, when she began piano lessons with the church organist at her local ELCA church. She has a BS in Music with a focus on percussion, a Masters of Church Music with a focus on piano performance and composition, and a Masters of Youth and Family Ministry. She is currently taking classes for her Doctor of Ministry at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, where she is focusing on how creative worship can cultivate inclusive spaces for the LGBTQ community. Sarah's favorite thing to do at Trinity is help people discover how to use their gifts and talents to enhance their own worship experience and the worship experience of the community at large.

Dolly Collins, Organist

Dolly has been the organist at Trinity for 44 years. She plays for the traditional services and accompanies the Sanctuary Choir, cantors and soloists. She has a BS in Music Education with a minor in organ. Dolly is also the accompanist for the choirs at Saline High School, Voices Valiant, a 50-or-better choir, and teaches private piano lessons. She is available for weddings and memorial services.

Onda Cymes, Accountant

Onda began working for Trinity in March, 2016. She is a life-long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she currently holds the position of Treasurer. She has a degree in Corporate Accounting from Cleary University and has been employed at Domino's Pizza for 44 years.


Leena Elawar, Office Manager

Leena joined Trinity in August, 2022. She was born in the United States, but spent most of her childhood in Greece, Portugal, and Lebanon. Her family moved to Ann Arbor in 1993. Her background encompasses 12 years in grants and contracts management, along with 8 years in sales. In 2016, she left the corporate environment to pursue her passion for holistic healing, becoming a certified Reiki Practitioner and Sound Therapist.
